Through Keiko you will get Strong. In Keiko you will develop Power enabling you to crush any Aite.

This Keiko is the most important thing in Sumou. You achive Greatness not by Winning in Tournaments but through Keiko.

The meaning of Keiko is embedded in its literal name. Its idea is to improve yourself via focusing on ancient truths relevant to building one's soul, and meticulously employing these in practice, and then reflecting on this.

The key content of Keiko is Permanent Improvement. This means that you do Keiko not to maintain form or preserve your skill, but to improve. Every Keiko is another improvement step. You do it to improve every day. Therefore the Three-days Setback concept is of utmost importance.

Keiko must be performed daily. It is '''The Way''' of Sumoudou. It is the meaning of Sumou in the sense that the Way is already the Goal.

The most important goal of Keiko is developing Power. Power is the key determinant of Performance in Sumou and therefore it is the most importance attribute, towards which exercises in Keiko are geared.

The determinant of Quality Keiko is Focus. Focus is the sole determinant deciding whether you will be able to put the below two concepts to work and Improve via them.

Two key threefold concepts define Keiko:

Full-blown and extensive Keiko is Oozumou Keiko as it is done in different Heya in Oozumou.

Amateur Keiko differs from Oozumou Keiko in length and timing, and usually also content, generally being much shorter, in the afternoon, and briefer.
